Amity University is a private university in India. Established by the non-profit Ritnand Balved Education Foundation in the Indian state of Uttar Pradesh, it has campuses in Noida, Lucknow, Gurgaon, Jaipur, Gwalior and Dubai. The university has an enrollment of over 100,000 students[1] in 240 Degree Programs.

The Institution separated from Government College of Arts and Crafts in 1976, with its new name Govt. School of Architecture which was, later, renamed in 1980 as Govt. College of Architecture, Lucknow (Popularly called GCA, Lucknow) as it acquired the status of the constituent college of Lucknow University.
